There's probably a MeMe going around the Rain somewhere - but I didn't see it, haven't been tagged lately, and I wanted to start a new one anyway!
So here's The 2011 BHAG MeMe!
2011 is going to be a year of going big or going home! I am making BIG plans, and I'll bet many of my friends on Activerain are too!
Here's the MeMe Rules (please paste the following paragraph into your post as you are tagged)
I'd like to know what YOUR Big Hairy Audatious Goal (BHAG) is for 2011. I'd also like to know more about you, and your background, what is it about you that makes this BHAG so important? What experiences are you bringing with you into 2011 that will make this BHAG work? So I'm asking you to please share 5 or 6 things about yourself, and then tag 5 or 6 more people so we can learn about them too! (Here's a MeMe Tutorial)
I am an observant Idea Person. I love Trends, and anxiously await Trendwatching every month! I take time every quarter (at least) to consider the forecasts and trends, and to see what adjustments I need to make to accomodate them.
I have a Victorian decorating habit that is hard to kick. Which is NOT to mean that I decorate in a Victorian Style - and I decorate for EVERY season... changing bedding, and pillows, rugs and pictures and plates. I can go overboard. I mean who do you know that has VALENTINE's decorations? (This is me raising my hand!)
I am determined to live a healthier life this year, and to that end, I want to run a 5K with my 16 year old daughter. Now this is a pretty big deal because my DAUGHTER doesn't really want to run a 5K and I have not been in a race in over 6 years. But I know how to train, and I know how to motivate my children - and so this is a goal I'm feeling pretty confident of. (I'm certain somebody out there that knows Savannah is starting a pool! LOL!)
I sing Tenor, love needlepoint, gardening and anything that involves Salt Water. I once wrote a 50 book for Local Real Estate Agents that was in the form of a Farmer's Almanac. It describes in detail what you should be doing with your Real Estate "Farm" each month and has information that local gardner's would appreciate (when to plant Pansies and when to start Marigold Seeds germinating).
For the first time in many many years I've set a 2011 financial goal for our family. In the last several years our goals have been simple... we wanted to end the year in a position that was better than the last. We had a great 2010! To do better in 2011, however, I think it's going to take a strategic plan that is maximized to it's fullest, a focused determination, and positive ENERGY.
This should be FUN!
