So I was driving home yesterday...and I noticed I'd missed a call, checked my voicemail and let out a big ole' YAHOO! fist pumpin' and all (not very lady like)!  MAN was I psyched!  I'd gotten my second call that day from people wanting to know if I could help them refinance from their Adjustable Rate Mortgage!

Okay - so two leads in one day is NOT that big a deal if you're a top producer with 20 years of experience in the same area.  I get that... and I AM a top producer with 20 years of experience all of it in the same geographic area (actually I have more than that but I don't want to sound too old).

But you see I have really been in a do-over since last October.  For the 10 years prior to that I was managing folks and helping them build THEIR business.  All of that changed and in my NEW DEAL I've added AR and the Internet as a funnel for building my business and meeting new people and LEARNING about the next LEVEL of this ever changing industry!

So TWO LEADS in ONE DAY from the INTERNET was HUGE!!!  I've gotten a couple of calls here and there - and I've gotten a couple of referrals directly from folks on the Rain (THANK YOU!) but these were solid 300K deals and I was PSYCHED! (Okay so I'll get to the part about Mike's picture being there).  I'd been looking at my placement from all different keywords during the day between other stuff I was suppose to be doing.

What I found is that I stuck out like a sore thumb on most pages because I was featured by Mike on the Mortgage Pro Week In Review (thanks Jeff!).  I'd written about Durable Goods... So right there on the page with HOME LOANS CARY and all the Countrywide ads - was me.

Of course - I wanted to thank Mike - but I didn't have his number saved in my phone and I was still in the car... so I called my 73 year old mother and said, "are you near a computer?"  Well she was and I asked her to go to google and type in "Mike in Tucson."  She told me several times I was not going to find a PERSON, much less a TELEPHONE number by those few words - but I assured her it was okay and encouraged her to quit arguing with me and just look up Mike In Tucson!  She put the phone down and came back asking me if I was ready to write the number down!

OF COURSE SHE COULD FIND MIKE IN TUCSON because he's done a great job (as have most of the 20 some people I subscribe to) of branding himself!

Anyway, I called Mike - told him thanks - told him how I'd gotten leads and business because of him - and listened as he told ME about a closing HE JUST LEFT because of AR!  Gotta' love the Rain!
